Sentara Norfolk General Hospital brings in Concert Truck for hospital week

NORFOLK, Va. It was a moment to unwind and say thank you at Sentara Norfolk General on Thursday.
The hospital brought in The Concert Truck for staff as part of National Hospital Week. The performers said they were happy to play for the health care workers after all they ve done in the pandemic. Our medical community has supported us, Lord knows, a tremendous amount over the last year, said Concert Truck co-director Nick Luby. And so, we try to do what we can to support them in return.

The red flag warning already in effect over the weekend for parts of the Bay Area was extended until Tuesday evening, the National Weather Service confirmed.

The red flag warning was initially issued for the North Bay and East Bay hills as well as the East Bay interior valleys from 11 p.m. Friday until 6 a.m. Monday.

A Red Flag fire warning, the earliest in almost a decade, began Friday night at 11 p.m. and continues through the weekend.
The National Weather Service is tracking strong winds at high elevations and heat with dropping humidity.
The warning applies to the North and East Bay hills as well as East Bay interior valleys.
The Dallas Opera will use an 18-wheel, flatbed truck to take the show on the road
The company joins classical music groups nationwide that have gone mobile to present performances during the pandemic.

During the pandemic, classical music groups nationwide have literally taken the show on the road to connect with audiences. The Dallas Symphony and Fort Worth Opera have both given pop-up concerts around their cities from trucks equipped with mobile stages.
