One year after a specialized medical team at Intermountain Primary Children’s Hospital and the University of Utah Health performed the first in-utero fetal surgery in the state, the patient and her family reunited with caregivers to celebrate the medical milestone.
Abigail Keyworth was the recipient of the first in utero fetal surgery in Utah. The now 11-month-old girl from Idaho has spina bifida. She was reunited with her caregivers from University of Utah Health and Primary Children’s Hospital to celebrate the anniversary of her surgery.
