As Matt Szechtman steers his dog over toward a park in the Glenville section of Greenwich, I ask him about the new legalized marijuana law in effect as of Thursday. Where should his town allow pot smokers to gather and indulge?
Banning cannabis outright isn’t an option for the 19 cities and towns with more than 50,000 residents. They can allow it in any public location where smoking is permitted, or they can regulate it more tightly - but they must set aside at least one location.
