Nick Greenawalt, a National Weather Service meteorologist in the Cleveland office, said the NWS is forecasting 2-4 inches of snow for Fremont Tuesday night, with the possibility of higher amounts in localized inland areas.
Greenawalt said areas closer to Lake Erie, like Port Clinton, can expect lesser amounts of snow and may see more of a rain/snow mix, due to warmer lake temperatures.
Western Ottawa County could see 2-4 inches as well, Greenawalt said.
Greenawalt said it may snow hard enough overnight to produce some accumulation on roadways.
Once the snow ends Wednesday morning, the NWS is forecasting temperatures to reach 40 degrees during the day.
