KINGSTON – Something in the water around Silver Lake is growing some seriously talented amateur golfers. Massachusetts will be represented by two teams at the upcoming U.S. Amateur Four-Ball Championship, and both duos have a strong connection to Kingston.
One of the teams headed to University Place, Washingston, to play on the pristine Chambers Bay golf course is Brockton native Matt Parziale and Kingston resident Herbie Aikens. The other team will have Boston College sophomore Nick Cummings from Weston tagging up with Halifax native and Silver Lake graduate Dillon Brown in pursuit of the championship.
