it is confusing. and nick christoff, i always appreciate your analysis. james comey s book comes out next week. while the rnc is working to discredit the fired fbi director at every turn possible, the white house chief of staff might have to do his own explaining to the president. two sources who have read comey s book tell the daily beast about a phone call comey describes from then-homeland security secretary john kelly. the former fbi director called the president dishonorable for the way he fired comey. remember comey found out he was fired from news reports while visiting an fbi office in los angeles. the daily beast reports kelly was sick about it and intended to quit in protest and kelly said he didn t want to work for dishonorable people. it is unclear how the president will respond to that but the rnc is already doing its best to taint comey s new book. they want to brand him as lying
