COVID brides and industry professionals consider how the pandemic could change future weddings

“That was a big shock to the system,” Hoyle said.
But as the year progressed, couples adapted, Hoyle said. He started photographing smaller weddings, as well as short notice and backyard weddings.
As a wedding photographer, Hoyle’s job is to capture the day’s emotions. Weddings during COVID-19 are sometimes more emotional, but he couldn’t photograph smiles under masks, he said.
