They were on a camping trip in down anyville a remote part of the sierra. An Air National Guard helicopter crew found them last night. At about 8 p. M. , the crews spotted 41yearold Nicholas Vlahos and his 5yearold and 3 yearold children. Later they appeared to be okay in the back of an ambulance. A Deputy Sheriff says the father was driving a pickup when it slipped off an embankment in mud. He tried to get it back on the road unsuccessfully. But they had food and water. They dont need to go to the hospital. They have been checked out by paramedics so its good news. They are alive and well.
