Community Board 2 will host a presentation on the citywide “Zoning for Coastal Flood Resiliency’ plan during its full board meeting on Tuesday, Dec. 15, at 7 p.m. The citywide text amendment is to update and make permanent the temporary 2013 Citywide Flood text amendment. It encourages long-term resilient design across the city’s 1% and 0.2% annual chance floodplains, allowing buildings to be adapted over time through partial resiliency strategies, and providing the zoning tools necessary to facilitate recovery after future disasters.
