Three presidents of local financial institutions said last week they do not expect the surprisingly swift bank failures that caused shock waves nationally this month will be a cause for concern local.
Norwich-based Dime Bank is ending 2020 with two new locations in north-central Connecticut.
The mutually owned institution formally opened offices at 299 W. Middle Turnpike in Manchester and at 1009 Hebron Ave. in Glastonbury on Dec. 21.
Dime Bank first proposed the new locations over the summer and received green lights from federal and state regulators over the following weeks and months.

The dual debuts inject some fresh blood into what has become an increasingly consolidated retail banking market in the capital region, dominated mainly by multinational players such as Bank of America and TD Bank, as well as Bridgeport-based Peopleâs United Bank.
