The Village of Endicott trustees have released a 10 part plan to turning the region around. The plan has two major focal points: attracting new businesses to the village, and improving the quality of life for residents. While acknowledging the past couple decades have been tough for the village, the trustees said their attention is on what s still to come. Although a proposed battery recycling facility has been rejected, three members of Endicott s board of trustees say the village is prepared to welcome new businesses. Board members Ted Warner, Nicholas Burlingame and Patrick Dorner released a statement declaring Endicott is open for business. Mayor Linda Jackson has said the recent debate over the recycling project made the village look unfriendly and unwelcoming to new businesses! But the three trustees have released a series of goals in an effort to attract more businesses and jobs to Endicott. They are calling for amending the village s new recycling law to allow clean and safe operations. They also say they plan to work with property owners and developers to encourage new projects.
