A MUCH-MALIGNED car park at a Cumbrian racecourse has a new operator. The parking system at Cartmel Racecourse had been dogged by complaints from members of the public who had been ‘caught out’ and slapped with fines after visiting. The new system allows people to pay on departure and, it is understood, offers a higher margin of error for people inputting registrations. The system being used is operated by Park with ease, replacing the one operated by HX Car Park Management. Two people who were handed a fine after visiting Cartmel Racecourse were Diane and Nicholas Allison, who live near Lincoln.
