The Niantic Children’s Museum’s family-friendly New Year s Eve event, Countdown to Noon, is going virtual this year.
Due to COVID restrictions, the museum is adapting the Countdown celebration to be a live Facebook broadcast. Families will still be able to virtually see the science demos and learn all about the museum animals, New Year s traditions from around the world and have some New Year s food fun. The museum has found a COVID-friendly twist for its popular Noon Balloon Drop tradition.
Through the museum’s online Countdown Contest, one family will get to be the only in-person attendees at the Balloon Drop and get to release all the balloons. The grand prize also includes exclusive use of the Museum from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.; a meet and greet with two of the museum animals; museum animal plushie; Countdown to Noon Party Craft Box and two museum passes for future use.
