ARCADE â A suspect in a Niagara Falls homicide was taken into custody Thursday afternoon in Arcade.
Niagara Falls police said they were seeking Matthew H. Figura Jr. 35, in connection with a shooting death about 8:16 a.m. Thursday at the Niagara Metals scrapyard. He was described as armed and dangerous, and possibly heading toward the Southern Tier.
Figura was observed later by a Wyoming County sheriffâs investigator, said Sheriff Gregory Rudlolph.
The investigator followed Figura until more police arrived.
They conducted a felony traffic stop about 1:15 p.m. and Figura was taken into custody. Police at the time were seeking a black pickup truck with Virginia license plates.
