Governor Cuomo announced the dedication of a major project that removed an underutilized, two-mile stretch of the former Robert Moses Parkway - now called the Niagara Scenic Parkway - in the City of Niagara Falls and created a stunning new area in Niagara Falls State Park called "Gorgeview," which provides unimpeded access to the Niagara Gorge and improved recreational opportunities for residents and visitors alike.
Restaino Announces Continuation of Expedited Temporary Outdoor Seating Permits for Local Businesses

Mayor Robert Restaino announces the continuation of the expedited process for local businesses to apply for temporary permits for outdoor seating/dining service. This expedited process was developed last year in response to the economic effects felt throughout the Niagara Falls community due to COVID-19 and increased reopening efforts by local government to support local businesses.
In addition to the expedited process, the City of Niagara Falls has waived most of the fees typically associated with obtaining a permit, reducing the cost of the application fee to only $10.00. “While we’re not out of the woods yet with COVID-19, my administration feels strongly about doing its part in helping local businesses in the reopening process,” said City of Niagara Falls Mayor Robert Restaino. “We were able to minimize the cost of this application, as well as speeding

NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. (WKBW) â A new $46 million state-of-the-art visitor center will be built in Niagara Falls State Park.
The governor s office says the facility will be a gateway to adventure along the Niagara River Corridor. Also announced was an $8 million commitment in grant funding from the Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Foundation toward the construction of the Welcome Center. New York is home to some of the nation s greatest parks and outdoor recreational opportunities that attract visitors from all across the globe, and Niagara Falls State Park is no exception, Governor Cuomo said.
