As the newly designated Major Trauma Centre for the Central Region network, Dublin’s Mater Misericordiae Hospital aims to get up and running in 2022 on the first phase of development.
Trauma Lead for the Mater Hospital,
Dr Fran O’Keeffe, described the announcement issued yesterday (April 27), designating the two Major Trauma Centres in Dublin and Cork as a ‘great day’. He said they envisaged that the Major Trauma Centre programme would get underway as a long-term project in phased development of the infrastructure and staffing required for the network.
