Execration finally got its act together to snap its five-game losing skid and rekindle its Playoffs contention, pulling off a 2-1 reverse sweep over also-ran Cignal Ultra in the MPL Philippines Season 7 on Sunday night, May 9.
Kiel VJ “Kielvj” Hernandez’s Lancelot and the rest of Execration dictated the tempo right from the get-go against the ultra-defensive lineup of Cignal anchored on Estes and Mathilda in the deciding Game 3.
An inspired performance from “The King” (4-0-7 kill-death-assist) saw him secure early pickoffs and Turtle objectives that ignited the crowd favorites’ 14-5 victory in 15 minutes.

League leader Blacklist International pulled out another trick from its sleeve as it unleashed DJ “Wise” Del Rosario’s Aldous in destroying Smart Omega, 2-0, on Saturday night, May 8, to keep its roll heading to the MPL Philippines Season 7 Playoffs.
Wise proved that he could use heroes other than Granger and there was no better way to do it than playing Aldous seen as an exotic pick in the Mobile Legends professional ranks.
Armed with a massive stack on Soul Steal paired with defensive items and Courage Mask, Wise wreaked havoc and powered Blacklist’s 13-9 victory in 15 minutes in Game 1.

Tristan “Yawi” Cabrera took charge with his signature Akai in the deciding Game 3 as Nexplay Esports took its sweet 2-1 revenge over rival Execration in the MPL Philippines Season 7 on Friday night, May 7.
Yawi’s Akai set up multiple pickoffs with his Hurricane Dance ultimate that enabled NXP to build an insurmountable lead early in Game 3 en route to a 17-5 romp in 18 minutes.
John Paul “H2wo” Salonga’s Ling and Dexter “Exort” Martinez’s Lunox were the usual finishers of Yawi’s initiations, allowing them to easily secure their core items and go online early.

Coming off a monstrous effort with Wanwan in Aura’s 2-1 win over reigning MPL and world king Bren Esports, Bennyqt showed his versatile gold lane gameplay with his Kagura taking over in the closeout Game 2.
Bennyqt racked up a 9-2-9 kill-death-assist record and produced a brilliant outplay against John Paul “H2wo” Salonga’s Harley and Renejay “RENEJAY” Barcarse to fend off NXP’s comeback bid in the 12th minute.
