Kaseem Smiri s 2016 custody shot Picture: WILTSHIRE POLICE A “THIRD strike” drug dealer claimed he had been acting under duress – and had even been attacked with a hammer. Kaseem Smiri, 28, has already admitted possession with intent to supply cocaine in Southwick. Two previous convictions for drug dealing mean he now faces a seven year minimum sentence. On Friday, Judge Peter Crabtree set the case down for a special court hearing – called a Newton Hearing – where the basis upon which Smiri will be sentenced will be decided. It followed claims by lawyers acting for the Trowbridge man that he had been acting under duress.
