Owen Grigoreva, nine, of Newton, is feeling the weight of the ordinance as he and his family are preparing to give up his potbelly pig, Ginger, due to her being classified as livestock.
“She helps me when I feel sad, when I feel angry, she helps me with that a lot,” Owen said. “Please let Ginger stay with us because she's like to be part of my family."
