you are live in the cnn newsroom. i m jim acosta in washington. we begin with remarkable new insights into ukraine s president and the desire to hit russia on home soil. the washington post said president zelenskyy has suggested bold attacks behind closed doors including blowing up a pipeline and attempting to occupy russian border villages to gain over moscow. zelenskyy made such suggestions months ago. still, the pentagon did not dispute the authenticity of the leaked materials. this comes as we re getting new signs that the long-awaited ukrainian counter offensive could be getting underway soon. sources tell cnn, ukraine has begun shaping operations and cnn s sam kyly has more details on that. reporter: there have been signs, i think, very clearly now, that there are shaping operations going on ahead of a summer offensive by ukraine to try to recapture this territory that was taken by the russians. both in 2014 and more recently last year. what we ve seen is psychologi

walk us through the indictment and the conspiracy part, ken. this indictment is significant on a number of level. the fact that it that s a step that s rarely taken by the united states. we do our own intelligence gathering and we don t want our own officer to be charged. the russians crossed the line. they are charged against the russia intelligence. we know the broad zrostroke for some time because it was detailed and a lot of newsroom reporting. the russian gru is hacked. both the democratic committee and john podesta scooped up thousands of e-mails and desimildi similar nated them. those are russian intelligence officers posing as us. they moved into delivering
the scenario that unfolded. and then they got these frantic calls from people in the building inside that newsroom reporting that there was an aboutive shooting taking place. at this point, again, they believe the shooter in custody, who is now isolated there was using used a shotgun to carry out this shooting again. early in the investigation. we don t know if that is exactly the weapon. that is what they believe is the case. and so, now the work begins for the investigators to figure out where he got it, how long has he been plotting this shooting? i m not sure if we re about to hear from the lieutenant there, the public information officer for the anne arundel county police department but, you know, there s a lot of details now they re beginning their investigative work to try to g figure out what was the motive? we don t know if this person,
