Charges laid against 36yo man following dramatic car-jacking, shooting in Auckland Newshub 19 hrs ago
Auckland shooting: Man allegedly held two people at gunpoint after stealing cars, trying to run dealership employees over

The 36-year-old has been released from hospital and is now facing numerous charges, including three counts of aggravated wounding, aggravated assault, burglary, reckless driving and failing to stop.
He is expected to appear in the Auckland District Court on Saturday, Detective Inspector Aaron Pascoe said in a statement on Friday.
It comes just hours after a woman was arrested in relation to the carjacking rampage and charged with aggravated assault and burglary. She was expected to appear in court on Friday afternoon.

Witnesses have told Newshub the incident in Penrose involved an individual who stole car keys from a business, and then tried to run employees over as he attempted to leave with the car. It s then understood the car crashed and there was a shooting.
This comes after a shoot-out in Hamilton s Hillcrest on Wednesday night.
A man, who was killed in the incident, had fired gunshots at police officers who had visited a property on O Donoghue St.
Assistant Commissioner Richard Chambers will give an update on both situations from the Auckland Central Police Station.
