A GROUP of 11 individuals claiming to be from the ongoing farmers’ protests visited activist Anna Hazare at his village in Ralegan Siddhi in Ahmednagar district on Saturday and demanded that he join the farmers’ protest at one of the several venues near the national capital. 3 tourists from Pune drown at Anjarle beach

THREE tourists from Pune drowned at Anjarle beach in Ratnagiri district of Maharashtra on Friday morning.
Three others, who were part of the same group of tourists, were rescued by locals.
WHO, EU support Covid response in Southeast Asia

The World Health Organisation (WHO) and the European Union (EU) have recently agreed to join forces to support eight Southeast Asian countries in their response to Covid-19 and strengthen preparedness for future pandemics.
The EU will provide €20 million for a Southeast Asia pandemic response and preparedness programme. WHO will use the funds to continue supporting the governments of Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao People’s Democratic Republic, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam.
Police said that without carrying out any medical tests, the accused allegedly told the complainant that she was suffering from ‘liver ascites’ and also asked her to start treatment, claiming the illness could even kill her.
