carolina hit the hardest. eight unconfirmed reports of tornados but at least one that they will likely confirm. you can see the damage there. yeah, look at that. from north carolina we go to south florida today which is where the severe energy went. we had a tornado watch for the south florida peninsula all morning long. a number of tornado warnings that popped on the radar screen and one touched down on the ground. we have pictures out of oakland park florida north of ft. lauderdale. some trailers tipped over, awnings ripped down. looks to me like it was a weak tornado that went through this. we had one train spotter that confirmed a tornado touching down there. showing up nicely. there was a nice amount of warning from the local national weather service office. as of right now, no reports of injuries. that s a good news scenario. this tornado watch was allowed to expire on the doppler in south florida. just some smaller convective
