Alfredo Leone and his wife, Raquel Oliveira, moved to Miami from Brazil four years ago, looking for a safer place to raise their young son.
The family ultimately settled into a fifth-floor condominium at Champlain Towers South in the Miami-Dade County town of Surfside.
Alfredo, 48, and Lorenzo Leone, 5, were among those killed in a partial collapse of the condo building on the morning of June 24. Their bodies were recovered July 8, according to Miami-Dade police.
