MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - More than 41,000 vehicles travel on the I-55 bridge on a normal day.
That volume will increase as traffic is diverted indefinitely while repairs are made to the I-40 Hernando de Soto Bridge.
The WMC Action News Five Investigators have been looking into past inspection reports to learn more about the integrity of the I-55 bridge while more cars and trucks travel across it.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - A former Memphis police officer is now facing a felony after he repeatedly pepper sprayed a handcuffed man while on duty in 2019.
36-year-old William Skelton was indicted by a grand jury on an official oppression charge more than a year after the alleged crime took place.
The body camera footage shows Skelton pulling into a South Memphis gas station January 10, 2019. He was responding to a vandalism call.

Since then, thousands of doses have arrived in those states.
In Tennessee, where the number of coronavirus cases is skyrocketing, neither hospitals nor the state have administered a single dose.
The Mississippi and Arkansas Departments of Health have each received 25,000 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine.
Tennessee has received one tray, a total of 975 doses, according to the Department of Health.
