DJ and radio presenter Freddy Zapp is heading back onto the Cornish airwaves from this weekend. Freddy was a weekend presenter at Radio Cornwall for 27 years up until March last year, when his show was a victim of the BBC s restructuring programme. He is now set for a return to the radio after joining the team at Goldmine, the DAB station based at Penstraze, Truro that serves Cornwall, Plymouth, part of West Devon and Bristol. Zapp, a colourful and flamboyant character who has raised thousands for charity with his annual Christmas lights switch on at his house in Redruth, was a personal friend of the late Screaming Lord Such and fought parliamentary elections for the Monster Raving Looney Party.
