HOUSTON An elderly woman claims she suffered severe injuries after allegedly falling at her Houston apartment complex and striking her head on metal landscaping.
Linda Vandagrift filed a complaint Jan. 25 in Harris County District Court against Cortland Partners LLC, Lakefront Villas GP LLC, Lake Front Villages GP LLC frequently known as Newport On The Lake and others alleging negligence.
Vandagrift, who was 81 years old at the time, alleges in her complaint that on Feb. 8, 2019, while checking the mailbox at her apartment complex, she fell and landed forcibly on metal landscaping and struck her head.
Vandagrift claims she suffered severe and permanent injuries including the inability to do her ordinary tasks, disfigurement, pain and mental anguish as well as lost wages and medical bills.
