Police divers spent Sunday morning examining the wreckage of the sunken boat at Newport Anchorage Marina, as a clean-up operation continued throughout the day with debris including huge chunks of the vessel s hull being fished out of the water. A woman has died and another injured in two separate incidents on Sydney's waterways overnight.
A 57-year-old woman died after being pulled from the water at Elizabeth Bay about 7:00pm last night.
Witnesses and NSW Ambulance paramedics performed CPR but she died at the scene.
Another woman escaped serious injury but suffered cuts to her body and legs after a boat exploded at the Newport Anchorage Marina.
