A MAN from Olveston man has been jailed for his part in a plot to smuggle cocaine worth £500k, hidden in protein powder, into the UK. Bertram Jack Fallon, 31, and Arron James Collins, 35, and used encrypted messaging services to arrange the importation of five kilograms of cocaine - which Border Force officers seized at London Gateway Parcel Hub in January last year. The National Crime Agency uncovered communications between the pair on the EncroChat and Wickr platforms involving arrangements for shipments of the drug from Amsterdam to the UK. At Bristol Crown Court on Tuesday, Fallon was jailed for six years and six months for conspiracy to import cocaine and for failing to disclose the PINs for his mobile phones.
