Picking up a few tips from MPs money lives

ROBERT KITCHIN/Stuff MPs money lives make for fascinating reading, and can teach us lesser-paid mortals a thing or two. To give someone your KiwiSaver money is an act of trust, and also an act of active support. People seek a KiwiSaver provider who reflects their values. By contrast, people seeking to buy a home just want a loan to get the home. They care less about who they borrow from, as long as the interest rate is OK. Less, but not entirely, for while MPs are less likely to stray outside the big four Australian-owned banks, Kiwibank has a far larger share of home loans of MPs than it does of the home loans of the general public, more than double, in fact.

Blenheim XRACE aims to bond families through mystery and adventure

SCOTT HAMMOND/STUFF Toby, 10, and Pippa, 7, can’t wait to join the XRACE together with their dad Phil Muir, who has been practising his juggling skills in preparation for the race. A fun mystery adventure race, aimed at strengthening families and boosting the self-esteem of children, is set to take place at Blenheim s Pollard Park on Wednesday, March 3. As an added incentive for parents to engage with their kids in a fun way, New Zealand Home Loans (NZHL) have sponsored two brand-new bicycles as spot prizes for the event. The 2021 NZHL XRACE aims to have teams of a parent and child aged 6-14 race together against the clock and other family teams, to locate and complete 10 mystery challenges.
