On a final trip back to San Francisco last year to pack up his family’s belongings, David Eade reflected on how much the city had changed in the wake of Covid-19, the Black Lives Matter riots and the US election election campaign. and how timely his decision was to return to New Zealand. Now home is Whanganui, where he will spend the next year on an agricultural scholarship, while he and his family complete their shift to rural life on their 80 hectare sheep and beef farm.
