EAST GREENBUSH, N.Y. â East Greenbush Town Supervisor Jack Conway was selected as the âElected Official of the Yearâ by the New York State Recreation and Park Society.
This award is being given to Supervisor Conway in part to his commitment to growing East Greenbush s Town Park which in recent years has added their âRed Barnâ Building and state of the art restroom facilities and dog park improvements.

A virtual award ceremony was held on April 20 from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. via Zoom.
The Elected Official of the year award is described as, âThe Elected Official of the Year Award will be presented to an individual who provides exemplary support to parks and recreation. This individual has made significant contributions to the parks and recreation field through active participation, advocacy or through policy and legislation. This individual can be at the local, county, regional, state or federal level.â
