Law enforcement officials believe missing Buffalo State student Saniyya Dennis took her own life Law enforcement officials say it appears missing Buffalo State student Saniyya Dennis took her own life based on a timeline of her last 24 hours. Author: WGRZ Staff Updated: 6:11 PM EDT May 6, 2021 BUFFALO, N.Y. Law enforcement officials provided more details on the disappearance of a missing woman, Saniyya Dennis. Dennis, a 19-year-old Buffalo State College student, was last seen leaving her residence hall on Saturday, April 24. Erie County District Attorney John Flynn, along with Buffalo State Police and New York State Park Police, provided a timeline of what happened just prior to Dennis disappearance.

33 East Amherst, N.Y. After a year and a half of no large-scale training due to the COVID-19 pandemic, more than 200 National Guard Soldiers and Airmen from New York and New Jersey trained together to respond to Chemical, Biological, Radiological or Nuclear incidents April 16-17. They are members of the FEMA Region II Homeland Response Force, known as the HRF. The team is trained to find and rescue victims and provide security, decontamination, medical treatment and command and control in support of local first responders during the first hours and days of a natural or manmade disaster. The team spent the weekend honing their skills on the grounds of A. J. Jureck American Legion Post 1672 and the neighboring Erie County Fire Center.

CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF MINA Deputies stopped a vehicle on Mann Road in the town of Mina for speeding around 9:30 p.m. Saturday. The operator was identified as Emilee A. Carlson, 28, of Clymer, and an investigation found her to be impaired by drugs. It was also found that Carlson’s privileges to operate a motor vehicle in New York state had been suspended. Carlson was taken into custody and further investigation found her to be in possession of methamphetamines and concentrated cannabis. After processing, she was released with appearance tickets. Carlson will appear in Town of Mina Court at a later date to answer charges of driving while ability impaired by drugs and two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and speed in zone.
