Gold Key – Lobby Upper Midscale The Highlights: The first boutique luxury hotel located in Nebraska’s capital, the Kindler features 45 guestrooms and a showstopping lobby complete with works by namesake Nebraskan artist and the owner’s father-in-law, Ken Kindler, as well as custom furniture by designer Ross Vincent. Vincent incorporated the structure’s Art Deco architecture with modern design, creating a movement he calls “Modern Deco” with craftsmanship, rich details, bold geometry, and modern silhouettes elevating the hotel’s aesthetic. Upon entering, you can smell a custom scent that’s carried through the lobby air, while a massive LED screen behind the reception displays a video of a calming waterfall, and a walk-in wine cellar and water vapor “fireplace” divides the bar and dining room.
