A panel under the housing and urban planning principal secretary has been formed to determine whether residents of Hi-Tech townships in Ghaziabad will have to pay tax to corporations. The policy’s terms exempt the townships from house, water and sewer taxes either for seven years from the start of construction or till handover of the units, whichever is earlier.
These projects will help create 33.50 lakh employment opportunities, the cabinet minister told PTI, adding that a major part of the investment is coming into sectors like manufacturing, renewable energy, information technology, housing and real estate.
“The new Township Policy 2023 will attract investments and empower private developers to contribute to the development of the state. The new policy also opens new avenues for integrated township projects by allowing FDI,” said Amit Modi, Director at County Group.
