Taranaki rescue helicopter pilot Mike Adair, who spent 13 years in the Royal New Zealand Air Force, gets back behind the controls of an RNZAF AW109 helicopter, under the supervision of flying officer Jason Anderson, at the service’s open day on Saturday.
New Taranaki Community Rescue Helicopter pilot and base manager Mike Adair was enjoying being in the thick of it at the service’s open day on Saturday. Thousands of people took the opportunity to check out the displays, including police, fire, St John ambulance, Coastguard, the New Zealand Defence Force, surf lifesaving and Red Cross, at the event, which was held at the Taranaki Base Hospital hangar.
