Interior designer Wesley O Brien is renowned for his design solutions in small properties
A 334 sq ft one-bedroom first-floor apartment at No47 New Row Square in Dublin 8 was about to come to market through Felicity Fox estate agency. But selling agent Eimear Costello felt the tired property would do better if it were expertly reworked first, and she urged the vendors to call for the space man.
With just one living room/kitchen, one medium-sized bedroom and a small bathroom, the home was smaller even than a typical artisan cottage. O’Brien had his work cut out for him.
But three weeks later, it had been utterly transformed to a degree that it grabbed the attention IKEA, the source of much of the furniture he uses.
