PORTAGE (WKOW) Portage police arrested three people after finding an unresponsive man who died on the scene Friday.
The Portage Police Department responded to a call about an unresponsive man found in a stairwell/hallway area of a hotel on the 2900 block of New Pinery Road just after 12 p.m.
When officers arrived, they attempted life-saving measures on the unresponsive man. Aspirus Divine Savior EMS crews arrived shortly after and continued with life saving measures.
Officials reported all life-saving measures were unsuccessful, the man was pronounced dead on scene.
Portage police investigated and arrested Gabriel S. Munoz, 33, of Portage, Shawn A. Ramirez, 27, of Oxford, and Melissa J. Anderson, 26, of Oxford.

PORTAGE, Wis. A 71-year-old man was struck by a delivery truck in Portage while crossing the street Thursday morning.
A news release said Portage police responded to County Highway CX near the Kwik Trip on New Pinery Road regarding an accident involving a truck and pedestrian.
Officials said the vehicle was parked on the highway when Dennis Mouser of Wellington, Ohio, walked from the convenience store to cross the street and fell in front of the delivery truck.
The release said the driver was unaware Mouser had fallen down and drove away from the parked position, striking the man.
One is leaving more than two years early.
Rita Maass has been a council member for roughly two decades, she said, and plans to leave her current term Thursday. She said her choice to step down before April 2023, when the term officially ends, was personal.
âI enjoyed serving and I will miss serving,â Maass said. âItâs time to move on and let the younger generation take over.â

City Administrator Shawn Murphy said Mayor Rick Dodd can appoint an alderman to serve the district who resides within the area. District 9 borders stretch along West Wisconsin Street from Armstrong Street north to Silver Lake Drive to Airport Road and West Slifer Street. They connect to New Pinery Road, which stretches south to West Oneida Street, where it connects to Armstrong. The district encompasses Silver Lake Park.
