Edwards joins panel to announce NCAA Final Four return to New Orleans next year Share Updated: 2:02 PM CDT Apr 6, 2021 WDSU Digital Team Share Updated: 2:02 PM CDT Apr 6, 2021 WDSU Digital Team The NCAA Men’s Final Four returns to New Orleans next year for a record sixth time at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.The 2022 NCAA Men’s Final Four will mark a significant milestone as it will be one of the largest, if not the largest, major sporting events to take place in New Orleans, and Louisiana, since the COVID-19 pandemic.It will be held April 2 and April 4 of 2022.The New Orleans Local Organizing Committee is holding a panel to feature the countdown, and what holding this event represents for the state and the city of New Orleans.Panelists include Louisiana Governor John Bel Edwards, New Orleans Mayor LaToya Cantrell, among others.The panel begins at 2 p.m. Tuesday and you can watch it live video here.
