Students find affordable tuition across state lines in Nebraska
University of Nebraska at Kearney
Yesterday s college selection process involved students and their families focusing on in-state schools for affordability and tradition. But today, because of unique programs and scholarships in other locations, many students are crossing state lines to find their best deal and fit.
The University of Nebraska at Kearney is the most recent school to make out-of-state tuition more affordable with the announcement of its New Nebraskan Scholarship. The scholarship is available to undergraduate students from outside of Nebraska and equates to a 54% tuition discount – from the current $455 to $209 per credit hour. That out-of-state scholarship is exclusive to UNK.
