A man has appeared in court charged with murdering his own grandmother.
Police launched a murder investigation after a woman s body was found following a fire at a property in Ruabon, Wrexham, in the early hours of Thursday, 11 February.
Kyle Ellis, 25, of New Hall Road, Ruabon, was remanded in custody after he appeared at Mold Crown Court on Monday.
Mr Ellis is charged with murdering Susan Hannaby, who was 69.

Play now A man is set to appear in court charged with the murder of a woman in Wrexham.
The woman found dead at the property has not yet been publicly named. Forensic investigators and police officers were pictured outside the property on New Hall Road following the house fire last week.
Emergency services were called to a fire at the property just after midnight, before the woman was found dead at the scene.
