Teague, the former owner of Hunter’s Place restaurant, which was named after a grandchild, died on April 20 after leaving work at Nancy s Breakfast and Lunch on Northeast Jacksonville Road, where she was a server.
She had worked at the restaurant for the past year and a half on a one-day-a-week basis, and weeks before her death had gone back to full time.
Nancy Rivers, owner of the eatery, said she and Teague, whom she had known for over 20 years, spent a few minutes together over a snack before she left work on April 20. (Teague) said to me, I ve got to have a Cuban sandwich.’ When she left she said, Be safe, love you boss,’ Rivers said.
