CARVER - Running Division 1 track at the collegiate level has been one of Zach Fisher’s biggest dreams. Now that the end of his senior year is right around the corner, it is quickly turning into a reality. After gauging a wide level of interest from schools across the country, it has been a decision Fisher couldn’t wait to make.
In the end, he chose Merrimack College, home of a track program that is perennially growing. The Warriors had some shaky records in the early parts of the last decade, but improved enough to flirt with a handful of top-place finishes in recent years. Earlier on in his high school career, Fisher had interest from the Naval Academy and the University of Maryland, but he’s happy to now cement Merrimack as his new home. He looks forward to following his passion of fitness by majoring in Kinesiology and Athletic Training.
