The coronavirus pandemic has put Nevada’s health care community to the test. Despite facing a 6% cut to Medicaid reimbursement rates during the pandemic, physicians, nurses and other health care providers across the state have stepped up to ensure the highest quality care possible for Nevada patients and communities.
That is why many physicians and other health care workers have serious concerns about the potential impacts that legislation being considered in Carson City would have on patient care and the strength of our overall health care system. SB 420 would create a new, state government-controlled health insurance system that could increase the problems facing some of our states most at-risk patient populations.
