Local Lib Dem councillor Bill Porteous would like to see the East Neuk designated as Scotland’s third national park. He has the backing of the Scottish National Parks Strategy Project, which is campaigning for more national parks across the country. Scottish Government ministers are opposed to the idea while all the other main political parties support creating more parks.
