The Stourbridge town shuttle THE Stourbridge Town train shuttle is off the tracks this week while improvement works are carried out. The line, which connects Stourbridge Town and Stourbridge Junction stations, has been suspended from Saturday (March 6) until Friday March 12 while the 0.8miles of track is replaced. Network Rail, working with West Midlands Railway, said it had taken the opportunity to carry out work to the 142-year-old rail line, which is believed to be the shortest in Europe, while there s less people travelling due to lockdown. A replacement bus service is running between Stourbridge Junction and Stourbridge Town stations. Planning extra time for travel is advised, and checking with either National Rail Enquires or the train operator.
