Happening now, a memorial just getting under way for a 16yearold jack lewis. The teak was hit and killed by a tree limb at lake merit december 4th. As we speak here, these are members of the Oakland High School crew team. Beyond them, there is a number of lanterns on the water, he was a member of the team and tonight, his teammates and coaches decided to honor him here in a very special way. That is, by holding a special memorial for the 16yearold on the water. They brought flowers and rode up to the square, where they had a chance to write a note in memory, or a wish on a lantern. There was quiet time on the water to reflect on the young man killed by a tree branch that snapped off at lake merit on december 4th.
