Nets Gaming Crew (NetsGC) the Nets NBA 2K League affiliate is entering their third season and hopes they’re ready to follow in the Brooklyn Nets’ and now the New York Liberty’s footsteps of building a winning culture.
“Brooklyn is thriving right now as everyone knows and we want to do our part in being a presence in the playoffs and hoping to compete for a championship,” said Ivan Curtiss, the NetsGC’s General Manager, speaking from the crew’s studio space at Barclays Center, told NetsDaily.

The Long Island Nets are Bret Brielmaier’s first head coaching job. For the past five years before being elevated to “big chair,” he served as an assistant to Kenny Atkinson, then after Jacque Vaughn replaced Atkinson, he served as lead assistant in the NBA “bubble.”
Now he’s back at Disney World for the G League “bubble” and ready for the new challenge. He’s worked with a wide range of head coaches in his 13-year NBA career. In addition to Atkinson and Vaughn, the 35-year-old has worked under Lute Olsen at Arizona, Gregg Popovich in San Antonio and Mike Brown, David Blatt and Tyronn Lue in Cleveland . where he won a ring before moving on to Brooklyn.

The Long Island Nets are gettng two new players for the G League “bubble.” Dallas Mavericks’ two-ways Tyler Bey and Nate Hinton have been transferred to the Nets G League affiliate.
The Mavs retain the players’ NBA rights. The Mavericks G League affiliate, the Texas Legends, decided against opting into the G League “bubble” at Disney World. Under the league’s two-way rules, NBA teams that don’t have a G League affiliates in the “bubble” can assign roster players and transfer two-way players using the league’s flexible assignment and two-way rules.

The Long Island Nets have touched down at the G League’s Orlando “bubble” ready to take on a 15-game season in 25 days, starting nine days from now. Long Island’s roster is a mix of NBA veterans, G League standouts and three rookies. It’s a grueling schedule, but one they think they have the right pieces for.
