Publicis Communications names new Malaysia MD Details 25 February 2021
Publicis Groupe has appointed Firzan Mulafer (pictured) as the managing director for Publicis Communications. In this role, Mulafer will be responsible for driving efficiency and effectiveness of the creative hubs under Publicis Communications, namely Leo Burnett, Publicis, Saatchi & Saatchi Arachnid and Publicis Emil.
He will work alongside Publicis Groupe agencies’ senior leaders to integrate specialist capabilities within the client services practice and help clients thrive in the platform world. Mulafer is not new to the Groupe and began his journey with the Publicis Groupe in 2006 by joining Publicis Sri Lanka.
In his latest stint, Mulafer was part of the core team that was instrumental in reinventing Publicis Vietnam for the connected age by offering seamless solutions across the Groupe. Before his Vietnam assignment, Mulafer was the regional engagement plan

Publicis Groupe Malaysia s CEO Tan Kien Eng (pictured left) is stepping down from his role after more than four years. Loris Nold, CEO for Publicis Groupe Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa, confirmed the news to
A+M, adding that Neil Hudspeth (pictured right) will take over as CEO for Publicis Groupe Malaysia, reporting to him. Tan has decided to leave the Groupe to focus on the next chapter of his personal and professional life. I wish him good luck, Nold said but declined to comment on his plans for Malaysia and Asia Pacific in 2021.
