candace in a debate here either of them or charlie for that matter. trish: they are not even trying. cathy, again, you know, and cathy, you may not agree with deneen, i was just by the way in the green room with you guys and you were having a great time. in other words, there is a certain healthy amount of respect that i think at least we here on this network have for each other. why is that not getting carried out into the streets of philadelphia and elsewhere? that s what so sad it seems like we have two extremes they are attacking each other and making america look horrible. i don t think that is america. think we are america. the four of us here we get along but at the end of the day, we do smile and appreciate each other s views even though we may not agree with each other. i wish that more of america would see us. i think your party needs to get out in front of this one for sure. let me turn to another story that i want to ask you guys about. at net roots nation over the
you re at net roots nation in new orleans. you talked about independent minded democrats. if you look at the 12th district and you as well, you both have been critical of current leadership in the democratic party. dare i say you re more moderate than many members of your caucus. is that the future of the democratic party as you see it, and how is that message resonating with those you talked to in new orleans? well, i think we have blown these labels up. i think globalization, automation, information, cultural shifts have blown the old labels. people try to stick a label on me. i have been supporting medicare since 2007. i am for publicly funding campaigns, for immigration reform, for women s choice and all of these other progressive issues. i m not sure how i get labeled as a moderate sometimes but at the end of the day, the reality of it is that people want someone that will represent their interests. each candidate in each district
